Our 3 piece carbon fiber OEM style front lip is the perfect add-on to have that OEM+ look on your BMW 8 Series 840i & M850i. This front lip is subtle yet definitely an eye catcher, you will have everyone wishing they had one! This carbon fiber OEM style front lip is made out of 100% vacuumed sealed dry carbon fiber. We take pride in our 100% dry carbon fiber products for they are given special attention to detail for durability made to last. The 2x2 carbon fiber weave is coated with a super high gloss UV protectant clear coat to prevent fading and protect from road debris. Installation is an easy bolt-on process however professional installation by a body shop is recommended. Vehicle must have M sport package.
Dry carbon fiber is a manufacturing process produced by using a "pre-preg" or impregnated piece of carbon fiber material. This piece of carbon fiber is then placed into a mold to achieve its shape and vacuumed sealed to cure, known as the autoclave process. This method is the used to manufacture the purest form of carbon fiber parts. This produces the lightest and highest-quality product as opposed to a "wet" production method, which typically uses ABS plastic or fiberglass. The autoclave vacuuming process allows for fewer pinholes and zero air pockets on the carbon fiber part. Dry carbon is the highest-quality version of carbon fiber products that are produced.
